The UK government has a local COVID alert level system in England, comprising four different levels – medium, high, very high, and Stay at Home. You may also see these referred to as Tiers 1, 2, 3 and 4. Check your current Tier level using your postcode.

During lockdown, massage therapy is NOT permitted unless it is absolutely medically necessary and unable to be deferred. There is strict criteria that must be met, which may include treatment which is part of a treatment plan alongside other medical practitioners. Massage therapists are urged to follow government guidelines and check with their governing bodies or professional organisations for more specific advice.
Massage therapists are included in the group of "close contact services." The UK government offers guidance for those who provide close contact services, including hairdressers, barbers, beauticians, tattooists, sports and massage therapists, dress fitters, tailors and fashion designers.
